Job Description
Calibrate engine to meet development target (Starting/ISC,
Fuel efficiency, Emission, OBD, Drivability etc)
Finish development activity within project schedule
Attend field issues related to calibration and proceed for C/M
Major Responsibilities
3.1 Development plan making
Confirm engine development schedule(Master plan)
Select necessary evaluation contents
Confirm necessary engine, vehicle and parts
Make test plan
3.2 Test preparation & Testing
Confirm necessary test equipment
Install or fix test equipment
Stand by engine to dynamometer or vehicle to chassis dynamometer
Evaluate following test condition
3.3 Test result judgement
Summarize test result
Judge result
Make test report and judgement report
Decide and propose ROM value
Study and propose countermeasure item
3.4 ROM management
ROM editing as per requirement and distribution to test group
Concern list management, manage calibration schedule
3.5 Field issue / COP issue analysis/ Other supports:
Analyse calibration related field issues, attend Joint Investigations, provide L-1 analysis to find root cause
Provide calibration support for cost reduction activities, durability testing etc
3.6 Validation support in India:
Plan and execute tests for regulation changes IND specific
Provide deep analysis, discuss with relations and work jointly to develop counter-measure (when necessary)
3.7 Knowledge and experience sharing
Release summarizing material as engineering report
Hold meeting to share knowledge and experience
Make or improve standard

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
BE in Engineering with knowledge of engine and vehicle.

2-6 years of experience in Vehicle Calibration activities
Knowledge on Vehicle Emission & Performance parameters like Fuel Efficiency, Acceleration performance, NVH
Good knowledge on Engine,Vehicle and Development process
